Once again, we partnered with EngageWorks to deliver the ‘Edge of Government’ experience at the World Government Summit 2017 in Dubai.
The experience challenges visitors to think in new and counter-intuitive ways about how to solve the most pressing public challenges of our time. The main purpose of the exhibits is to inform, trigger new thinking through an interactive experience and most importantly to inspire visitors to connect with the innovators behind the case studies showcased.
To this aim, this year’s Edge of Government experience was centred around open questions that policymakers need to be able to successfully navigate to break new grounds.
Our concept for the immersive environment was created from the intersection of planes on different axes. The strategic positioning of these planes throughout created enclosed clusters and helped define a journey in the space. Each cluster contained areas where visitors could explore the exhibits in a dynamic way. Walls, tables and plinths all seemed to unfold from the main structure enabling platforms for physical and digital stories.
As visitors crossed into ‘The Edge’, they started to see themselves projected in data across the leading wall surface, they were being tracked and their shape and form re-projected back in clusters of point data and particles.
